The meeting was called to order at 9:00 a.m. by Co-chairman Ken Levin.
John Forbis made a motion, seconded by Jim Bechtel, to approve the December minutes. Jim Bechtel, Ken Levin, Barbara Traskos, Joanne DiCamillo, and John Forbis voted in favor. Nina Peck abstained as she had not attended the December meeting. Motion carried.
 
1. Public Open Forum: No public participation

2. Business News & Secretary’s Report: Martha Hansen
HDC Web page slide show.
Action: Consult with Ruth Roach (Martha Hansen).

3.  Plaque Program update: Martha Hansen
12 Ferry Road: Continue research (Martha Hansen).
20 Ferry Road:  Continue research (Martha Hansen and Pamela Hamilton).
23 Ferry Road:  Robin Sedgwick confirmed that she is interested in a plaque and has done some property research. She will contact the HDC when she is ready to move forward.
173 Mile Creek:  Complete research (Martha Hansen).
209 Boston Post Road: Complete research (Martha Hansen).
21 Lyme Street: Paul Sagristano is interested in a plaque. E-mail Paul the available HDC information on 21 Lyme Street (Martha Hansen).

4. Any other new or old business
Propane Tank: The HDC received a phone message (but has not received any details) from Hocon Gas of Guilford about the installation of a propane tank in the HD.
Election of officers: A motion was made by John Forbis, seconded by Joanne DiCamillo, to re-appoint Jim Bechtel and Ken Levin as Co-chairmen for 2013. All present voted in favor. Motion Carried.
HDC representatives for approved CofAs: An HDC member (with the exception of Joanne DiCamillo who already consults on landscaping plans) will be assigned to all approved CofAs. Town attorney Marylin Clarke has confirmed that there is no liability for HDC representatives.
Action: Ask Janet Sturges to write a short description of the HDC representatives' duties (Jim Bechtel).
Plaques: Ned Pfeiffer suggested that the property research records done for Historic Plaques be scanned, kept in the town archives, and be available to the public.

5. Adjournment
Nina Peck made a motion, seconded by Jim Bechtel, to adjourn the meeting at 9:52 a.m. All present voted in favor. Motion carried.
